Text description provided by the architects. The commission arose when our friends from DHNN, a creative agency, in constant growth and expansion needed to move their offices.
They got a private house on two levels, with garden, pool and barbecue in the Vicente López neighborhood, a residential area of low houses. Our project challenge was to transform the residence into a workspace with the spirit of the agency.
One premise was that the house could go back to its original state, in a new eventual move. Therefore in the intervention, the equipment items became the main elements of this strategy, considering each to accompany the various new activities.
The original uses of each area were re-programmed, while maintaining the logic of private and public posed by the house on two floors. The public areas on the ground floor now house meeting spaces for designers in moments of distension and account executives. Their places are located in what was the dining room, in direct contact with the outside.
The private area of the house, upstairs, accommodates the private use of the program. The bedrooms have been transformed into the offices of John and Luke, directors of the agency. Creative employees occupy the largest suite in the house, while the conference room took the place of the other. The playroom, where the children of the family played in the evenings, is where the agency boys now imagine new worlds.
